  7. New Features from Ver. 1.1:

  10. 1. A new, easier "arcade" type control is added. Now, the game has two
  11.    control modes: arcade and flight simulator.
  12. 2. Full mouse control added. You can now fly and fight using only the mouse.
  13.    The mouse control is activated by pressing 'm'.
  14. 3. Pause button added (p).
  15. 4. Panic button added - when you press 'q' the program quits immediately.
  16. 5. The shareware version now comes with three introductory battlefields
  17.    (levels) instead of one in version 1.1.
  18. 6. New demo - one of the advanced battlefields is shown (distributed as one
  19.    of twenty battlefields that the retail version of Heli Rescue comes with).
  20. 7. For the first time, the advanced visual level editor, used to create all
  21.    game levels, is offered as part of the PRO version. It will allow you to
  22.    modify the battlefields, change any object parameters or create a
  23.    completely new set of levels with custom bitmaps and any number of
  24.    standard objects.

  30.    Heli Rescue 1 is distributed in three versions: shareware, retail
  31.    and professional. Only this shareware version is freely distributed on the
  32.    computer networks, CDs and diskettes (read license.doc for more info).
  33.    Even though the distribution is free, you are required to register the game
  34.    and pay the required fee in case  after trying the game, you decide to use
  35.    it and keep it on your hard drive. It is in violation of the copyright law
  36.    if you continue using the game after a reasonable trial period. Also
  37.    note that registrations are what keeps us working on this
  38.    game and being avialable for support and assistance.

  41. Installation steps:
  42. -------------------

  44. 0. For the following examples we are assuming you are in directory d:\games
  45.  
  46. 1. Create a directory on your hard drive where you are going to install Heli
  47.    Rescue. (Example: md helres)
  48.  
  49. 2. Go to this directory. (Example: cd helres)
  50.  
  51. 3. Copy the game files from the diskette.
  52.    Example: If the directory you created is d:\games\helres, enter:
  53.  
  54.    copy a:\hr\*.* d:\games\helres\*.*
  55.  
  56. 4. If you create a folder for the game, make sure to specify the full path
  57.    where the game files are installed in the work directory entry of the folder.
  58.    Example: d:\games\helres must be entered as work directory, if your
  59.    game files are in d:\games\helres.
  60.  
  61. 5. If you start the game from OS/2 full screen, go to the directory where the
  62.    game is installed and type HR.
